As I know nobody who is intending on buying this game, and the first Borderlands was completely unplayable if not doing co-op, I won't buy nor play it whatsoever.

:( how was the first one unplayable?

suddenly winding up with a high-level quest with no opportunity to raise your level otherwise except for boring quests requiring you to go deep into skag territory with all kinds of weird skags and no guides being available on the interwebs explaining what the fuck is recommended

I never had that problem. Most of the time, I had the opposite problem. I ended up overleveled because I did every side quest when I could.

I haven't gotten BL2 yet, though. I got too many games during the Steam Summer Sale that I need to beat before my wife will let me get another game without bitching. I'm sure there will be another GOTY version for $10 in a year or so.

BL2 is better, at least the quests aren't randomly 3 levels above your level, they're more like 2-3 levels below already at lvl 14, if you do some side quests.

And the first Borderlands was completely unplayable if not doing co-op

And the first one was epic, especially on coop, as it's supposed to be played.

after playing the game(for about 10 hours strait >.>) i noticed the leveling is a lot better than the first one. i believe i did maybe one or 2 side quests...and i only had one main quest where they were 3 lvls higher, after i killed them tho i was one lvl higher than the monsters i had to fight...i think you should at least try it some time :P
