It may be an 18+ game but there sure seem to be a hell of a lot of 12 year old kids that have a fairly extensive vocabulary. Using bad language and there being blood and gore in a game are two completely different things. Cursing a lot just makes you look ignorant.

I can understand spamming such words is just absurd but if you want to say just "fuck, shit, etc" once for some reason, the server should be set to at least warn the player instead of an immediate auto-b&. It is also absurd though, to get temp b& just for entering "damn". Its a kill or be killed game, not a child's playground or a holy church. Another thing to note, the word "fuck" and "shit" can be heard multiple times within the game's campaign.

I can completely understand that. I've played Xbox for 3 years, as well as PC, and I completely understand that people swear way too often and more than needed. However, the game itself has swearing in it.

 

Things like "The Enemy Is Fucking Our Radar" can be heard in the multiplayer. Even if it actually is "Blocking" and not "Fucking", it can still be heard as "Fucking" by most people playing.

If we take a game like BF3 for example, and correct me if I'm wrong here, you can hear "I'm going to tear him a new asshole!" when playing online.

 

A lot of these games that have people swearing while playing have swearing in themselves, so I don't understand why people get so absurdly butthurt over someone says "Fuck" when they get killed, especially when it's a one time thing or an every once in a while-type thing.

Yeah but is the game constantly spamming "FUCK YOU LITTLE HAXORING NIGGERS" every time you kill them? And yes, I do agree that language is a part of life and can be used when needed for emphasis but overuse just defeats the purpose of it being a swear word.

Instant ban for saying: "damn it" or such is just ridiculous.

I guess most of you referring to b3's "censor" plugin.

If you take a look at it's stock config (plugin_censor.xml in the current b3bot version 1.8.2),

you will see that it just warns for most bad words by default. I wonder why anyone would change that to instant ban...

You will get a "full ban" for saying "nigger" though.

 

Anyway, the "stock" bad word list is quite funny.

It contains bad words in several languages, e.g. the german word:

 

huendin (which means "female dog/ she-dog" in englisch), i've personally rarely ever heard anyone using that word as an insult.

 

IMO the plugin is a fail. Just banning/ warning for single words is so narrow-minded.
