hey guys i have a problem. i am currently editing some stuff so i can put a name on a gun " kinda like engraved acr" but for someone else. i get the " _col.dds" to save.but when i try to edit and save " _nml.dss" i get an error

" Image width and height must be multiples of four"

how do i edit the width and height to be multiples of four?

edit > image size?

Actual it should be powers of two... multiple of 4 is a standard enforced by nvidia but if you don't save it as a power of two then it will distort differently on most graphics cards.

afaik power of 2 only matters for mipmapping

No... Funny to say but it's really true, I don't know a thing about that DDS thing.

Did you create the .dds yourself ore used iwixdds?

Used isixdds to convert it to an dds

Image-Image Size, don't remember what it was, 1024x1024 probably.

Your image size has to be bigger than 4x4

meh, I don't know. When i am skinning, I usually leave MipMaps off and i don't get any error. So maybe he could he try it.

The problem is the size and has nothing to do with mipmapping!

And you should only save as DXT1 or DXT5

'nml' sounds like normal, see bump mapping.
