Consider revisions as pre-alpha versions; it's just not ready for everyone's use, or at least it's not intentioned to be used by everyone. But if you're an enthusiast and know what you are doing - you can compile it yourself (but it is not recommended for ordinary users).

But when will the stable, official, real etc. revision be out? Why don't compile it yourself and update the Compiled Files for people that want it?

And why would you want the newest revision? Comparing r22 to r61, there isn't much changed (the stuff that you would notice, not some under-the-mask improvements).

Some "bigger" differences between r22 and r61:

- demo changes, improvements etc.

- menu reworked (news ticker, player card)

- serverlist refreshes itself when you open it, the repetitive sound is fixed

- fixed 'is different from the server' with downloaded mods

- fix the hang (due to NP commands and Sleep calls) at stat saving when checking for regressions

(I intentionally skipped server and mod related stuff).

Is all of this stuff so crucial to make all the fuss about compiling new revisions? I don't think so... I suggest to stick to r22 for now.

If this is all that changed, some people didn't really listen to what I said; I asked to stop automatically downloading mods from the server. Why is this so hard? Didn't you had this feature in alterIW? Yes, you had. Then why is it so hard to add this feature?

Why should the devs listen to what you say? Did you pay them to do what you want?

If you consider it easy, why won't you do it yourself? And if you can't, stop moaning and show the devs some respect. I'm sure it's somewhere on their list, but it's not of the highest priority. And you know the priorities:

auto-updater and anti-cheat

So, sit patiently and wait for the release, or learn how to code and do it yourself - the sources are there.

Read the log message for that revision. It's already implemented exactly like CoD4.

Can't you compile it? And non of you did answer even 1 of my questions. Someone please answer my questions so I can stop opening topics and further? And please read ALL of my questions. Answer carefully.

EDIT 1: Dropbox link has been taken down.

READ FULL INSTRUCTIONS:

The new revisions have been compiled, at 4d1.jeremych.com/z. Download it, and get the raw FOLDER from the SVN, and put it in the base directory of the MW2 directory, where your iw4m.dll is. Make sure to delete the raw.iwd, or put it in another location, as a backup.

But they are not on the compiled files as they haven't been tested properly, and they may have severe bugs in them. So back up your r22 files. There are glitches with stats and stuff, so don't complain that we didn't give you a stable release.
