How to use IW5M Dedicated Server Modifications

How to use and install scripts on an IW5M dedicated server.

1. Download and install the IW5M dedicated server. See viewtopic.php?f=30&t=11583 for detailed instructions.
   
2. Browse The IW5M Mods Thread or Script Releases section to find a mod of your liking.
   
3. Once you have found a mod that you like, download the attached .zip from the post. Some plugins may have one or more attachments, so make sure to read the post thoroughly for install steps.
   
4. Extract the .dll to IW5M's 'script' folder.
   
5. Setup your server to load the script:
   
   • If you want your script to be loaded on all matches, open up the server.cfg file and add:

     loadScript "script.dll"

     Replace script.dll with the filename of the script.
     

   • If you want your script only to be loaded on certain recipes (or .dsr's), open up the specific .dsr and add at the top:

     loadScript "script.dll"

     Replace script.dll with the filename of the script.

[*]Open up the dedicated server, and if all went well, you should see no errors, and the mod will work as expected.

If the mod doesn't work, check the post from the mod developer to see if there were any instructions you missed. Some mods might require you to create files in order for the plugin to activate.

If you still can't get the plugin to work, reply to the mods topic with this information:

• An uploaded InfinityScript.log file, which is located in your dedicated server's root directory.
  
• The steps you took to install the mod.
  
• Your operating system (e.g. Windows 7, Ubuntu 10.04)
  
• Any other information you think that might be relevant
