when i try to play on resistance it starts to load it gets about a 20th of the way down the bar and then disc read error help plz

I hope not but seems like you have a bad sector problem. Please scan your drive with HD Tune Pro. You can easily find this tool. If you get a clean report; i'm agree with @The_InHuman : ReInstall/ReDownload.

If you get dirty report:

1-) Backup all drive & send your hdd to company. They will send you a new one. (If your hdd new/still has guarantee.) And skip game files. Don't touch them. Don't delete, don't try to backup and don't play! First get a backup, then you can do whatever you want to do.

2-) If your hdd hasn't guarantee; my opinion buy a new one. If you don't want to buy, your options HDD Regenerator, HDAT2 and finally low level format. But there is no guarantee here like, this programs/progress fix your hdd or clear bad sectors completely. Also HDD Regenerator & HDAT2 progress can continue days.
