I tried out the game today, it seems pretty awesome, but it appears that I can't really play it. When playing on servers with other people on I can hardly get over 30 FPS, while on normal MW2 I have 91 FPS constant. I've tried turning everything to low, but that didn't really make any difference.

 

I start on max-fps when I choose classes then it jumps right down to 30. Any suggestions on what to do? I've tried playing with maxfps and fov but that didn't help either.

No, like I said I run 91 FPS on normal MW2. 250 FPS clean on CoD4. I started to play at the same time as an IRL mate which has a really crappy PC compared to mine and he's got 91 FPS on this.

What revision? I would suggest r65 for now...

Turn off Depth of Field, it caused my FPS to max out at 30. While I normally got about 200 - 300 FPS on max settings.

Using r65 and depth of field, shadows etc is off.

Ya I had noticed that as well.. I don't know why and some of the commands are cheat protected

Same Problem here.

Had 200+ fps before updating to r65, now it's about 50 fps.

It can't be caused by my hardware, because i have a HD 6950 graphics card...

 

Sometimes i get 200 fps but most of the time it's about 50 fps, even when i close all programms running in the background

I've played the same servers as my friend, so I don't that's it. He would have had the same problem then.

I've tried redownloading everything and watched every tutorial I could find on YouTube and nothing seems to be working. I guess we just have to wait for the next update.

Same issue now I'm facing an FPS drop initially I had an FPS gain on 4D1.

Well, we don't even know what the problem is, as no-one has provided any symptoms apart from "my computer gets slow". AFAIK, there weren't any graphical alterations in r65, so if there is a problem, it's likely something obscure. Then again, I do compile my own custom .DLL from the latest revision, so I might be immune to whatever this is, as all of these people appear to be using the pre-compiled r65.

@ReaaL I've tried that and I still have the same problem.

Edit: The problem is still here with the new rev. It might help if someone could me what information I need to provide here.

 

I could always upload a demo or something of playing so you can see the lag or if a dev wishes to actually focus on this problem I have Teamviewer installed(I do realize that there are probably more pressing matters to be dealt with, but PM me if you have time.).

Sorry for double posting, but I have a little update. I've been tryng to figure out what the problem is. I've reinstalled the entire game through steam and deleted all the folders and redid everything, but the problem persists. I did the exact same thing on another computer and there it worked perfectly, so I don't really see the problem here. I'm running Win 7 admin on both, both have the same graphic card chipset too, so I'm at a loss.

That sounds like it might be the solution, but unfortunately I do not have any such option as I have the Intel Chipset with the Nvidia GPU. It could also be that I have failed to figure out how to do what you explained, as your directions are somewhat unclear.

 

I do have a Nvidia control panel obviously, but I can't seem to figure out how to do this. Could you perhaps give some more details? It would be very helpful, and might be something for the FAQ.

I think it might be steam. I've quit steam and my game runs fine on my 2005 Optiplex GX620 because of steam. Also, I run Windows Media Player and if you tweak the priority high or low, it might work; for me it's LOW priority...

Nope. IW4M only validates with steam, it doesn't run through it. Once your game start successfully, you can close steam.
