Okay, now that I have time to write this, their culture doesn't suck, they are too damn respectful. Just back a few days while I was going to Tokyo from L.A. there was this air hostess, and I tried to tell her that I would have non-veg or veg, and she just falls onto her knees before talking. Every single girl I found in Tokyo was like that (not on the streets obv, but the hotel crew and stuff).

 

And no, no one there follows anime at all, they just don't, in the entire flight only a few dudes were watching animes (their in-flight TV has anime in it) and none of them were even ecchi
