Well actually the right term is T-Online, but it's irrelevant as the ISPs can do shit about what you are downloading unless you are exceeding some traffic-limit defined in the contract.

The problem about the laws here is just: they are exploitable and a few law firms already specialized of sending you such nice letters.

Funny is: to catch leechers they are seeding or sharing copyrighted material over p2p or torrent and continuously requesting court orders to get your details from the ISP.

So their methods are already in a legal gray area + their claims are just utopistic.

If your lawyer is good enough you won't be forced to pay the full "price", not even half of it.

I've leeched stuff for about 5-6 years now and never got such a letter, Mongus just used the "wrong filesharingsystem" for germany, hosters like rapidshare and such are almost completely safe for downloaders.
