Hi. Recently I made a dedicated server in which i wanted to host a mod on. I tried it in private math but the mod won't launch. It just loads regular TDM.

 

Help pls.

fs_game mods/mymod

Assuming that you installed the mod properly on your server's mods folder

IW4M_server_folder\mods\mymod\mod_file.iwd

Yeah.......

You have to put ' +set "fs_game mods/blabla" ' before +map_rotate in your commandline, for it to load properly

Try:

C:\Users\Colin\Desktop\Games\IW4M\iw4m.exe +fs_game mods/synx +map_restart -dedicated +set party_maxplayers 18 +set net_port 28961 +exec server.cfg +map_rotate

 

Be sure your .iwd is in your /mods/synx folder

Are you sure that this mod is coded properly?

Go to the IW4 directory, create a new folder called "mods", open this folder, create a second new folder and name it after you mod, then start the game and open the menu point "mod", select you mod and press lunch.

Are you sure that this mod is coded properly?

 

Maybe upload your mod here and somebody (banz, momo, LoserSM ec.) can search for possible mistakes...

I can verify that the mod is coded correctly [i had a hand in creating it..]

Go into the folder where you have your mod..

(IW4M/mods// then you will see a .iwd file. Have you renamed the name of .iwd in such a way that you have z_svr_ in the beginning?

eg- for iSnipe.iwd it should be z_svr_iSnipe.iwd

Try dropping the .iwd into \m2demo\

This will load the mod without using fs_game.

 

Remember to change map to load the mod.

Earlier I made a mistake and dropped my mod's whole folder (\modname\maps\etc) into an .iwd rather than \maps\ etc. so maybe you could have done that?

If it doesn't work. try manually on the dedicated server

 

fs_game "mods/synx"

map mp_rust

 

If none of theses options don't work then something wrong with the mod. Try something simple like RSE bots.
