On IW4, I can't see the maps in the top left corner. The first few games I could. Then all the sudden it stopped being displayed. I changed the video resolution earlier (not sure when), but that shouldn't have anything to do with it, right?

I think, you mean the minimap. Maybe you played on hardcore server or do you see other stuff like ammo?

Firstly, try another server. The particular server you were present on may have been hardcore, and as such you would not be able to see mini-map, or other items like ammo.

 

If the above method does not work, delete config_m2.cfg located inside your /players/ folder present in your IW4 directory.
