Unable to connect to FourDeltaOne server/website

I can't get either IW4M or IW5M to work.

They simply get this error:

I also cannot get to ANY website hosted by FourDeltaOne, including this forum, the front page, and the Status site, without using a proxy (which I am now, obviously).

I've done everything I could think of or find, including disabling all firewalls and antiviruses I had running and checking if ports were open.

All I found is that I cannot open/forward port 3074 (as suggested by one website), it just doesn't work.

Other than that, nothing.

Any ideas?

 

*And yes, I've tried the fixes mentioned on these forums as well.*

What country are you in? Because it seems. Like your ISP is blocking your connection to the FourDeltaOne servers..

Download a proxy and check if you are able to run the game

I'm in the U.S.

And it's possible my ISP is blocking it just because they feel like it.

It's a local ISP and they can be dodgy about blocking random websites and services when they think they're suspicious.

Well if your in the US i kinda doubt they are blocking FourDeltaOne,

Do "ping fourdelaone.net" in your command prompt

Timed out.

Same thing when I try to visit this site without a proxy.

Google Chrome says the connection timed out and gives me the error: "Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): The connection was reset."

Try renewing your IP Address,

Go into command prompt and type "ipconfig /release" and after few seconds type "ipconfog /renew"

First thing I tried, actually.

And I tried it 3-4 times yesterday alone.

Same problems occur, nothing changed.

Sockets problems...

Open windows command prompt as administrator and use this command:

netsh winsock reset

 

I just got done trying that and restarting, but it didn't work.

I think I had actually tried that command before as well.

Any other ideas?

Who is your ISP?

 

2 things.

1. My ISP is local. It's a telephone Co-op.

2. It doesn't matter since (AFTER 5 DAYS) the issue magically resolved itself.

 

I did everything I could think of and everything I was told and got no results.

So I did... nothing.

And now it works.

Brilliant...
