You know that silly error that appears sometimes when you open the game?

You usually have to close the game (alt-tabbing out of it), re-open it and it's fine, but it doesn't fix for me, this time.

The error occurs whenever I try to open the game, I tried 50+ times, still getting the same error.

I tried rebooting the pc and modem and it didn't work.

So I tried reinstalling the whole game (yea, I'm crazy), redownloading iw4m updates and stuff, still the same error.

That's why I decided to open a topic here, what is wrong with my installation?

in your console?

Yea, forgot to mention, it didn't work as well (just to make sure, I re-tried now, doesn't work)

Yeah, you do know how to input commands into the in-game console, right ?

 

Also, a couple of game restarts fix it.

Yes I do, and no, it didn't fix reopening ( as I mentioned before, i tried 50+ times )

Then the problem might be with our server, or it just rejected your stats for no obvious reason.

I tried registering a new account, and still, it had the same problem ( now, a new account has new stats isn't it? So I should be able to use it if the error was "by my side" ) with the updating ranks and unlocks thing. When I'll be at home I'll post here the console output.

Seems like stat corruption; try /resetstats and play a round or so.

I thought /resetstats was broken. As somewhere before it failed to reset everything so it wouldn't save the stats

I'm having the exact same problem I tried restarting it LOADS of times even closing the console and using /quit and /loadstats and reinstalled the game 4 times and installed 4D1 into it and updated it. My profile is rank 1, 0th prestige because I use EAM. Please help. :cry:`

Yes, I did the same as vTriiicky, I tried resetStats, it "worked" (meaning it showed up the message your ranks and unlocks level etc are reset or something like that), then I pressed "OK" and same thing, updating ranks and unlocks.

Once you reset your stats then join a dedicated server (Ones without the * infront), play a few rounds and then once your done type /uploadstats and check if it works..

I solved, but THiLaN, I couldn't join any servers, the message popped up at the main menu, I couldn't close it, meaning I couldn't enter any game. I tried with direct connect, it said "Attempt 1, 2, 3..." until 21 or 22 or so and then "Connection timed out". Anyways, I solved using "resetStats" and reinstalling the whole game in a new folder. Yes, I have my stats reset, but I can play at least.

EDIT: Yay, error came back again, after reopeing the game (same as before, doesn't fix). What can I do?

Re-EDIT: I just found out that my newly created account works, so I'll just rename this one for the forum and use my nickname on the other account, that's the only solution I've found so far.
