Whenever i join a game after a minute or two it kicks with the errors "cannot connect to steam", or "game lobby closed", or "server disconnected".

Well it worked yesterday and i haven't added anything to my game except for some weapon skins/ specular maps.

Hmm. That could possible cause it assuming that you're not using the method of putting an .iwd with the camos into \m2demo\ and you're modifying the iw_xx.iwd files.

Not 100% sure though.

If you dump them in m2demo you shouldn't be getting any errors off of it.

NTAuthority would be the right person to confirm this, but I think that aCI needs to trade some packages every now and then with the client, and the client is getting kicked with that message if one of those packet trades fail.

That problem seems a bit like IW5M's problem of people getting disconnected from game servers after a few seconds. Except that I don't know what port needs to be opened to ensure a proper connection to aCI

Anyway, start by disabling your router's firewall.

'Steam connect failed' can be related to the CI module not being loaded in time, as might happen due to the random storage-related 'issues'. The other two errors seem fully client/game server-related.
