Now I know NTA is working Hard, etc. But since there have been several reports like could'nt loadscreen Terminal, Erosion, Aground, etc. This was because most of the people havent bought the game/dont have it on steam or dont have it updated.

It would be great if these maps were included in the auto updater as well you know.

Also in a sense the auto updates should be updated(LOL :D:D ) in the sense that it should check the files u have already and install only the missing files. Eh?

Issue is, the legality of provided such files with the updater could easily be disputed by the various owners/creators of the map files - Infinity Ward/Activision - and they would easily use this chance to take a go at us.

The 'New Store' provided within the client is simply a link to an external webpage, not hosted by us, and the torrents aren't by us either. The .iw5dlc simply installs it, yet we provide none of the actual files, they are distributed through the various torrent sites/seeds, and the download distributed through an external site.

We have already provided adequate resources (viewtopic.php?f=30&t=9515 > 37) to allow people to easily install the maps. It's whether they choose to follow it. Now as for an idea where it simply requests them to download the various DLC's after checking whether they have them could be possible, however unlikely due to the fact it seems IW5M has hit a dead end.

Well could it be possible for he auto updater to download the hldsupdatetool and automatically download the maps/updates via hldsupdatetool since then we would be using steam not the IW5M updater for this purpose.

Just copy HldsUpdateTool.exe to your game folder and then start it with a batch like this

@echo off
start hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game "modernwarfare3" -dir .

How can it be more simple than that?
