Hi, I'm new to this IW4 program and was wondering what version of the game it uses. Are all the patches in place, like the 1887 nerf and javelin glitch fix? Purchased the game on Steam if that affects it. If they are in place, is there any way to remove them? (No, I'm not trying to cheat on servers or something like that. More like mess around in a private match with bots or something.)

They are in place, but AFAIK they can be reversed through a mod. I don't know whether such a mod exists and neither do I know how to code such a mod though.

No, as far as I know, 4D1 is pre-patch.

This is why I can still elevator on servers and such.

People can install mods which block elevators (via invisible care packages and such) or nerf/disable weapons.

Unless my servers (and most others) are just 'outdated' some how. Models weren't fixed on my server (nerfed them myself though).

I guess the real answer would have to come from NTA or someone else that'd know for sure.

I must not have the weapon files uploaded to my server or something, then. Hmm..

The Scavenger not picking up Grenade Launcher ammo was also done by someone on the aIW Team, I cannot tell you if it was NTAuthority who made that patch, or if it was someone else in the team who did that.

The Thumper still gets grenades from Scavenger packs; but the underbarrel GLs don't.

Nope, that fix was revoked. You can go look in the m2demo folder browse in the weapons folder the following files do not exist in there: beretta_silencer_mp, beretta_akimbo_silencer_mp, beretta_fmj_silencer_mp, beretta_xmags_silencer_mp, or beretta_silencer_tactical_mp.

The silencers don't work on one of them and/or with a silencer the iron sights are off.

I know a silencer doesn't work on one of them and on the other gun, with or without a silencer the iron sights are off. I have forgotten the exact problems..

The silencer doesn't work on any M9, M240, or MG4 variant you can create in-game. The M240 and MG4 have this bug too.

 

(The iron sight misalignment, which is present on the Desert Eagle and MG4; and the RDS misalignment on the FAL; and the RDS/Holo misalignment on the M93 Raffica, are different bugs.)

 

The M240/MG4, just like the M9, have "silenced/0" when they should be "silenced/1", hence the silencer, though it is present on the gun model, doesn't actually do anything. You can find these files here.

 

(Speaking of which, how did these files get decrypted in the first place?)
