How do you get a colored name

I tried using color codes (^5, ^3 , ^2 etc)

But it says name is already used even if it's just my normal not taken name with a color code

In theory, that should only happen if you're trying to make a new account to do it (you could create duplicate names by doing that since IW5 doesn't show colours and hides the ^# part of the name string).

You can no-longer use color codes within names, due to staff impersonators.

Locked.

Oh really?

Just rename to something like The_InHumane, then change to ^1The_InHuman :)

Hmm, remember NTA saying on IRC color codes couldn't be used within names. Or at least, they wouldn't work.

They won't work if I did ^1Vextor for example because it checks the name without color code :P
