How my first day of school went.

Опубликовано:

First I got an A from history (or 5 for people who have nubers in school for grades), then we broke a projector sheet.

It was snowing hardcore so the bus was an hour late, and then we found out we won't go to school tomorow bcause of the half-1 meter snow

Ok, first one is a typo, I give you that. The second one is wrong on so many levels, I won't even bother to explain. Brake = koДЌnica, you want the word break.

Mate, you should read a few books yourself, maybe then your grammar would be better.

Just because someone doesn't show their intelligence all the time doesn't necessarily mean they aren't clever or don't have alot of general knowledge.

Are you implying intelligence has anything to do with being gramatically literate, or with knowledge in general?

Also, correct forms like your, you're and their, there, they're should be almost like a reflex to write for a native speaker.

Correct forms of what? You're talking complete gibberish mate.

and no, I definitely did not 'imply' that being grammatically* (you misspelled this, by the way, though i'd point it out as you're trying to act clever) literate had anything to do with general knowledge, some people are just lazy, like me, and therefore just can't be arsed typing things properly.

Also are you the one implying he used any 'form' of your, you're, their, there or they're wrong? Don't mean to nag or sound like a complete and utter ferret, but I'd rather learn about topics and make sure i'm fluent or well-taught in a certain area before I preach it, just a little advice for you- I'm not saying I'm perfect at English either which is why I'm only correcting you on the things I'm perfectly sure of.

Yes, I made a mistake in my post, but unlike "their", "they're" and "there", it's a bit of an uncommon word, especially if you use a single form for all 3 words, but that's not an excuse. What really bothers me is that he's a native speaker, unlike me, and can't distinguish those words without thinking. Being lazy is not the excuse, because I don't even have to think about it when I write those words, and yet, I'm correct in most cases, while he always gets it wrong.

Now, don't get me wrong, my English is far from perfect, it's barely just good enough so I don't seem like an illiterate fuck while writing, but I always do my best to improve by learning new words and phrases, and then, there's he is, a lazy person that doesn't know basics of his own language and calls others retards because they read books. Again, my suggestion was that he should read some, because that could help his grammar, which is really on a shameful level for a native speaker.

FUCKING HELL

you're going a bit far with this, fair enough if he was talking like 'yer m8 last wek ryt i waz at sum sik az party nd like der waz baaaaaare p0t lol sik', but he clearly isn't, a few grammatical mistakes from a 'native' speaker isn't the end of the world, everyone makes mistakes, get over it.

So, I'm the only one on this forum that actually likes school or what? (Except OP)

School is fine, but only if the class isn't acting retarded and if the subject is relevant to my interests.

Meh, it's not too bad, gives me something to do.

(well apart from the fact half of my weekly classes are study hall just to get to the mandatory hour limit for high schools...)
