hello how do i delet 4d1(IW5) from the orignal IW5 copy

Just kidding nobody cares. If you're using the Steam version of Mw3 then right click on Mw3 on the Steam library, click properties, go to local files and click on verify integrity of game cache.

That will reset you Mw3 files to the stock Mw3.

and when you realize steam sucks just delete chases.xml and repach again thats it :}

Keeping IW5M files in original Mw3 Directory won't cause any issues. IW5M uses LaunchIW5M.exe to start the game whereas Steam uses iw5mp.exe or iw5sp.exe

I can play SP perfectly along with my installation.

 

To OP, delete LaunchIW5M.exe, caches.xml and iw5m.dat

Then just start the game from Steam, if it causes any errors verify game integrity through game properties/advanced.
