Hey all, after the update I started receiving this weird graphics glitch with my game, and it seemed that no matter what resolution I play at, it would do this. Even with an fps booster on for some servers, that would even make it even worse.

This is what it looks like, NOTE: I do not play on 640x400 in windowed, I just couldn't print screen IN GAME for some reason, so I had to do it this way. Anyone know how to fix this graphics glitch?

Hmm try deleteing your config_m2 and delete your m2demo folder also your caches.xml... Then let the game run at it's standard settings.

should I delete the cache folder?

It was for aIW... You can delete caches, boostrap folder...

Well, I deleted caches.xml, m2demo folder, and config_m2 out of my MW2 folder, then ran the game. The updater started and when it was done it ran the game, and on the Standard graphics settings it still had those black blocks all around the ground and the gun. Pretty much everywhere. Any other ideas? I've tried to re install mw2 and I didn't have this problem when I first started playing, just after the update recently. The updater obviously downloads everything that I deleted back into the folder.

Try launching the game with the parameter -d3d9.

lol i'm a noob, how would i do that?

Shortcut iw4m.exe open it in properties and at the end of Target: put -d3d9

That made the blocks go away, but that also made me drop around 10-20 fps ingame. ;_; What other renderers could I force run it in besides d3d? Like, Opengl, etc?

uh none besides d3d9

as iw4m uses d3d9ex by default since r119 :P
