I played 600hours of Quake 3,

300hours of Unreal Tournament,

1500hours Medal of Honor,

5000hours of Americas Army,

400hours Battlefield BC2, and

did not see little kids mods

bitching about one camping and

silly rules that you can't do such

things in a shooter and

harassing/banning.

I have never seen a single person who had decent score in quake/ut by camping, since it's surely the worst thing you can do in those games

Hi I'm nelsonvital LEET of GL and G18, one of the most hated players in the Portuguese community.

 

I'm one of the guys that like to ruin people's games that you know. Dude why you cry so much? Why you can't understand that trolls like me rule the whole game? You can't do nothing about that, its simple, deal with that.

 

Tactical+Camper is the kind of player that I like to troll, because...hum...he just cries about about everything, instead of dealing with the reality of the game. I have my problems too, for example being banned all that time for trolling or just because I rule the match or for many others reasons. In some cases the admins don't admit that I'm better than them, and they ban me, the solution is simple... make a new account, import my old stats to that account and then I'm back for more trolling on that server that I was banned.

 

But why I won't go play to other servers? It's simple it's because the personality of some admins/mods that I know, I have the right of playing on every server that I want, of course following the rules. They can remove GL, they can remove G18 akimbo, no problem, I just use my favorite SND rusher/ninja/ghost/knife runner setup -UMP45 FMJ/Silencer, Deagle Tactical Knife, Marathon Pro, Lightweight Pro, Ninja Pro, Trowing Knife and Smoke- and I assure you my friends, with this setup you can make a lot of people rage, and that makes me fell happy.

I use claymores because it's effective to kill Ninja Pro rushers. I use smoke grenades and Thermal, because it's effective to kill Stopping Power players. Do not try to paint me as a troll.

 

I don't mind claymores, but where the problem arises with camping is when there are two idiots that refuse to move, both covering each hallway leading to their hiding spot. That is when I die five times before I finally take one of them out only to find that they used an OMA tac insertion so he respawns right as I run in to take out the other. I don't have these problems with my current home server, but I've been an admin on one or two others.

 

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to paint you as a troll, I just think it's kind of silly that you posted a thread complaining about how others run their server and was trying to provide the viewpoint of a server admin who had to deal with this.

Yeah, I'm technically underage. I'm 17, but I try to be fair when dealing out kicks and such. I'm not one of the squeaker admins, which is what I believe you mean by "underage". I have the voice of a god.

 

I don't know who you talked with on TS, but it wasn't me and I dunno who this Minimal guy is. (unrelated to the camping conversation) Yeah, I've probably kicked you from our server before, but that's because I'm there to enforce the rules, and "no camping" happens to be one of them. Really nothing personal, I mean that, I just enforce as I'm told.

Snd is shit in this game anyway. The admins make it worse. Telling me to not to camp on attack because its unfair to kill the brain deads that rush on defense. Delay rushes whichTactical Camper sounds like he does, is a valid strat. Its used even in to CS to confuse the CT. What the admins do when banning certain things(tubes and tube like things should be banned tho along with akimbo 18s) and playstyles are just trying to stack the odds in their favor because they wanna think they're pro. You might as well buy BO2 since its uses dedis without admins and their pussy rules.

That's because you don't understand camping.

CAMPING is NOT just stay in the same spot in the whole freaking game. CAMPING is to ZONE the battlefield, where you're responsible to control a sector of interest and leave the rest to the opponent, where you know he'll be in disadvantage if he tries to engage you. It's like this in S&D where you cover corridors of rush, or in TDM where you take the most statistical kill rewarding spot, or in Domination where you take 2 flags and just leave 1 (the shity one) for your enemie to spawn on. Etc...

In Quake weapon and armor spawns were ZONED all the time.

 

A - Wow, how interesting. Maybe that's because those games are actually fairly balanced so there's no need to ban 20% of the weapons?

B - Yeah, because grown ups accept things the way they are and move on, yet here you are whining about a couple of servers that don't allow your style.

Look, if you don't like the server rules, don't play on that server. Grow up already.

A - What weapons/items other than GL and G18 need to be adjusted/banned for balance reasons? And WHY?

B - Excuse me we are not talking about your parents decision to keep you. It's not a couple of servers, it's most of them that have people, so effectively, it's most of them.

 

If the Attacking player doesn't play the objective, he loses... and you win... Your whole point of Defending team is to prevent him to plant.

Quoted for truth. Still awaiting an Americas Army release that rivals in visuals to commercial games, otherwise the mechanics are pretty good, rely a lot on your skill and tactic, where shooting is just the conclusion of a whole mind and skill combat.

A camper, like a sniper can have a FEAR effect on opponents:

"Is he there this round?", "Will there be a trap?"And so on.

And I understand that the DECISIONS pressure for some people might not be fun at all, but you should seriously consider to deal with such pressure in style and learn how to use it. Risky, calculist first person shooter plays are much more rewarding and intense than brainless continuous spawns and rushes. Though I agree there's a learning curve that requires patience and eating the dirt.

Well I never really enforce the camping rule in my server anyways, and I'm an admin/owner of the clan. But many other clan members and such wanted the rule so it's there. Other mods/etc. enforce it.

I don't care what people do in S&D really, other than the noob tubing/etc. I really wish we could get a non-24/7 skidrow snd to populate.

I don't use the 'excuse' that it's "my server my rules," and in all honesty, I want the server to be set up however the majority of people would enjoy/want to play.

If you think the camping rule should be removed, by all means register on our forums and start a poll on our forums in a thread and if it gets enough votes, we'll remove that rule.

 

Though the things that probably wouldn't change would be:

Removal of Noob tube/at4/rpg/thumper (all used for the same thing essentially anyways).

Removal of Final/Last Stand.

Oh and nerfed model akimbos lawl.

Anyway, after that tempban episode (4th server of that day) I had no more issues just playing normally in ExP, and even though I have 150 ping I've been having good games and chats.

Well, I take back ExP bit.... [ExP]Communist and [ExP]Jinsoo just tempbanned me while we were winning 5-4 on Skidrow and I was first on my team with 14-5. Disgraceful that mods use the powers to swing the game in their favor...

Why are you so mad? I already told you, you can't do anything about the mods decisions, deal with that, or make a new account like I do.

Actually today I played on a nice server, but it was home based I think.

All weapons where allowed but the weapons stats were balanced so you could not abuse them. Very nice. Pity since it's home based it vanished.

I tried to make my own server today on my computer, but my router is letting me down. If I get a nice setup (setting and rules) and ppl adhere I might rent a cheap server to host it.

I may balance out explosions/etc (half damage) from RPG/thumper/tubes and just re-enable them. Dunno yet though.
