I noticed some of my friend can add symbols etc: [], (), {}, other then just character as a Player Name. How they do that?

I'm no noob when it comes to computers. I have "installed" (overwritten) the correct files and edited the iw4m.ini file correctly. but i cant seem to get my clan tag to show up. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Clantag is that your format? If not then that's the problem. If it is like that then you did something wrong either you built it wrong or you're using someone else's old version.

That is the format i have. I had the arev client before yours. Would that have a conflict? If not could you point me to the most recent version of the clan tag mod?

Its a replacement for the Auth.cpp which is now out of date... just get the mods to change your name in the Name Change topic.

The mod itself is out of date... I believe pigo updated something so overwriting it now would break it.

Yup, I can't play 4D1 with clantag.

I would advise against using the clan tag mod and just get your name changed

or wait until it's built in directly (don't even know if that will ever happen, but hay-ho)

i downloaded the auth.cpp from the pastebin given in this post (viewtopic.php?f=7&t). Can u tell me how can i compile/use this Auth.cpp? Please give me the details..
