Ok so i'm a little confused here. Is this project basically gonna be what alteriwnet did for MW2, but only for people who own a legit copy?

Simply put:

 

It's AlterIW which checks if you own a legitimate copy of Modern Warfare 2 on Steam.

SO in a way AlterIwnet is alive. You just need a legit copy of MW2?

Oh I understand now. When Alteriwnet officialy is closed down and this is released, it will be pretty much the same, but it checks if you have MW2 on steam. Great! For me the fun will continue!

Yeah me too, I was worried that this would be the end for those who actually own MW2 and want what htey paid for (Real PC Support.) I just hope the installation is easier. A .exe maybe?

So, is there a download link for this somewhere? Or is it still in develepment? And will the mods from AIW work with this? I don't really want to wait and see if some of the old mod makers are going to remake them for this.

No download link yet. It's in development. Of course the old mods will work. It's "M2" for legal MW2.
