So ye when i start 4D1 and i go to barracks and bla bla bla.. I change my reso to 1280x720 and then i got black screen and few seconds after it i get directx error.. :/ help me please

reinstal direct x and download the lastest driver for your computer

Shut down any software that may be injecting the game, such as Dxtory.

 

Also changing resolution is in Options and not Barracks.

You could try changing the dvars in the config_mp.cfg.

 

r_mode "111x222"

r_fullscreen 1 / 0

r_noborder 1 / 0

You have to change the settings in config_m2.cfg which is in your /players/ folder in your MW2 directory.

Experiment with the dvars that xetal mentioned.

Now very exactly:

 

Find a line (~287) that begins with:

seta r_mode

Edit the numbers between quotation marks so it looks like:

seta r_mode "WIDTHxHEIGHT"

Mine looks like the following:

seta r_mode "1920x1080"

 

If that doesn't make things better, find this line:

seta r_fullscreen "1"

The number between quotation marks can be either 0 (windowed) or 1 (fullscreen), try both.

 

If you set it to windowed mode ("0"), be sure to find this line:

seta r_noborder "1"

And try changing the number (either 1 or 0), see if that changes anything.
