I was just thinking we should implement something like this. Before logging into 4D1 with your forum ID, you should be able to enter your username without a password and play in offline mode. What this would mean is you would not be able to browse servers, but you would be able to establish private matches.

 

Let's say you're on the road, there's no wifi where you are, and you want to play some RSE. You open up 4D1, check off a box that says "Offline Mode" in the forum ID login window, open up your game, load your profile locally, and voila.

Yh it'd be a good idea, sort of like lan mode I guess. Would be useful if 4d1 is down/etc.

That would be great, this is the reason why people crack their games, to avoid the stupid DRM in games.

If I have some spare time soon, I'll have a crack at it (assuming NTA approves).

Try launching the mod from the startup arguments, putting "+fs_game mods/***" command before "+exec ***.cfg" command
