WHENEVER I open LaunchIW4M

It says it right there.. "Unable to connect" which could mean bad connection, bad ports, or just bad timing..

Where did you download your MW2 folder? And you are using iw4m.exe or launchiw4m.exe to run it right?

It's resolving to the wrong IP address...

I had that error several times, a simple reboot fixed it.

Maybe it might be that the installer does require a reboot in some situations, but not always.

Yeah, on aIW happened the same, when updating, so I just rebooted or log off my session.

Try changing/disabling any proxy in IE settings.

I'm using aIW files, I reinstalled it yesterday, patched it, (when I run IW4M it tells me to update) and now I cannot run LaunchIW4M to update it.

I'm not the luckiest of people

 

Before it stopped working I also had problems with custom maps like Gulag, I have all of the files, I had someone else that can get on the maps send me their main and it still crashes...

Try what NTA told you, if you haven't already. If the problem consists try installing again, in a clean game, no aIW files.
