The map [server Files] is not finished! It is missing a Loadescreen and the Minimap. The weather effects [rain] is not perfect.

Put it on zone/english folder, if you're using an old "MP-rip" installation. If you installed the full game, you'll have that file already.

You can't launch the map from the console, since you're missing server files for it to work. You can only connect to a server hosting the map, if you don't have the server files. Anyway, seems that you can ask STvLKER for the files.

 

I had a chance to try the map, and the only bad thing that I point to it so far is that you're forced to go "one-way" on the map. It would be much better if the barbed wire in the open space would be removed, so that players could assault the house, rather than making the straight forward, predictable path.

As it is, seems that the "defending" team will be hiding, waiting for players to pass by the narrow corridors by the left of the house (on the left when facing it from the yard).

The house offers protection and has some nice sniping spots. Plus, it's too easy to defend, since you can only enter by the narrow corridors on the left.

Remove the barbed wire, leaving a wide front entrance, and the map will be much more balanced.

i'm aware of that, therefore sniperspot on the top may be blocked in release.

sadly the wires aren't entities so we can't move nor do anything else with them.

1 option is to completely block some parts of thew map, like upstairs in the Whitehouse or the bunker.

it depends on how the feedback/ideas from the community are.

The sniperspor isn't that unbalanced. Whoever is on top is also seen from the gound. And it's view is also a cherry on the map. Shouldn't get removed.

Assuming that you can create some ways in on the front entrance, if you can't remove the barbed wire, then you could add some ramps to go over it...

how are you able to load different map fx's do you need to load both maps like if we want rain on lets say terminal you'd have to load first a map with the rain fx and then the ff of terminal?

well yeah, i have the files for it here, though i started working on cliffhanger some time ago and maybe i'll scrap this project as i don't really know how i could balance such a linear map.

tbh i just started development on it as a favor to bodyguard because he didn't knew how to get it to work.

Maybe he'll continue this map, i taught him the basic stuff.

How can I play this? I know there are probably still a lot of bugs, but would not mind being in on this.

 

I saw a game server up in the M.W.2. Game Server Browser, but no players on it, an when I clicked to join my game crashed.
