So a new Call of Duty was published, Call Of Duty Online, a F2P CoD with Cod4 and Mw2 maps and possibly cod4,mw2 guns, but it's only playable in China. What are your opinions on this?

Of course the combination of COD4/MW2 may be interesting. If someone ends up finding a way to patch it into English I'm sure I'd try it out, even though I know it'll probably be another "play4free & pay2win" games.

No. Mixing Cod4 with MW2 + shitty graphics + shitty sound doesnt make it a good game.

Most, if not all free to play games have some sort of bonuses you can buy with real/in-game money. The trick is to say it's free to play, but you have to pay up to get the good stuff.

 

The only Free-To-Play game I know of, that doesn't require a player to pay to "win" is Team Fortress 2. Sure, there's some custom stuff you can buy. But the majority is free, and it's the main stuff anyway.

While ACTI are the worst thing to happen to the gaming market the last 10 years, I deeply applaud their business decisions in relation of what and how they sell it.. and totally despise what EA and DICE do with Battlefield. Where you can UNLOCK BY BUYING. Sure, in COD you have the dated progression system with unlocks, but you are virtually 100% unable to buy yourself to level 80. And level 80 isn't that great either.

 

While in Battlefield... you can buy pretty much everything an yes, a lot of guns are flat-out better than some other. MW3 has variety whilst only the akimbo FMG9 remain a pain in the ass, but even their time passes.

 

Their free2play title sparks curiosity in me, as I seriously hope it wouldn't be pay2have advantages, like Battlefield 3 (note not Heroes or Play4Free, but the main game) premium and starter kits.

 

So deal with this and stop the hatin' you goddamned hypocrites. :3
