The problem is that every time I launch the game, it says iw4m.dat ceased to work and then the game shut down even before showing a menu, I already tried to re-install the patch and removing the old files, but it still give me the error

Well still none of the solutions in that thread helped me, but it's okay I can wait for a fix

It's a startup error I get it as well.. usually it goes away after ~15 minutes.

None of this has worked for me and it doesn't go away in about 15 minutes.

It goes away after a few hours, if i'm lucky.

If it goes away after a while then it's just a startup crash with the .exe itself..

Well yes this issue is kinda strange, it's gone now, so I don't know why it happened or why it's gone, still I'm happy the shit is gone now and the game is playable, the only thing you can do with this is waiting or try some little file tricks or remove... :?
