Please, keep some ethical standards.

Firstly, if you release a version of an already existing port, please rename the map.

Secondly, don't create 5 spawns and call it a finished map, don't release it until it's fairly done. By fairly done I mean having proper spawns (as in gametype specific, and placed after map structure), having all killstreaks working, and having a proper cleanup meaning no glitching objects and invisible items.

 

This of course if just my personal opinion, and you don't really have to follow it, however, if you don't, you're a moron. Thank you for your 20 seconds of reading.

TDM, FFA, Dom, S&D, if not all. These are the mostly played gametypes. Right ?

At least ffa, tdm, snd just my 2 cents.

 

Open beta-server is nice as the only way to discover some bugs (goes for pretty much any mod) is by actually playing.

For the record, you can rename the map by editing the name of the calls to the external scripts and the d3dbsp, and then rename the ff itself.

which will work nicely in distribution or for people joining, you idiot

 

Not like it's hard to create a patcher?

And how is that worse than any of the current sp maps being hosted, most people needs to download manually.

Yep, it takes at least 2-3 month to create a proper map. Proper in this case means: Proper and balanced spawns, all killstreaks of course, all gametypes (or at least 3), vision adjustments, limitation of the map, maybe some interactive T5-style stuff and additional FX.

Yeah, that's the problem here, most maps are "working" but not finished..

yeah I can see people downloading 150MB on the loading screen. LOL

 

next thing you know it. zone folder is 100GB
