Whenever someone posts a topic about there being "many cheaters OMG helpz aimbot wallhaxx0rs", the reply by staff is always "Turn Legacy servers off in the filter. Join servers that are not marked by the green asterisk (*)."

 

But really, how effective is this? 4D1 servers also allow players using non-4D1 clients (e.g. aRev, obviously) to join, meaning these players can hack freely without fear of aCI bans.

 

So why not just tell people the truth - that aCI has limited effectiveness until there are enough players on 4D1 to justify removing Synthesis.

How is this "Let's remove aCI."? You either didn't read or misunderstood the post. I was commenting on how ineffective aCI actually is.

"/votekick" and "/voteban" are great, however /voteban isn't even permanent. Which is very annoying when the cheater comes back 2 minutes later with a big trollface.

Hes a spoofer then. He has multiple xuids that he changes, while having the same name.

Aci does it can do. Just play in a server in which admins are online most of the time. And (for the staff members) is there a way to stop arev people to join 4d1 servers?

That only blocks it from the arev serverlist, they can still join by IP.

And I suggest to all server admins to install an external admin tool like manumod or B3 as they allow for fuller control over who can and can't access your server (through !ban and I believe there are plugins for B3 that allow ip bannings and country bannings) as well as a bunch of other cool features

True, but that means hes a try hard hacker. Hell do proxies, xuid changes, server control etc. aCI could ban his UN, hed change it. Ban his IP, hell use a proxy. Ban his xuid, hell get a new one.
