I just figured lowering my settings would give a boost

Well it does actually but it doesn't if your CPU/GPU is overheating.

My GPU doesnt go past 40C and I have an aftermarket cooler so I dont see how they could be over overheating

How would I go about checking the CPU, and I just made this thread to see why there wasn't a difference in FPS

I just need 333 fps for jumps on zombies :? and I just wanted to know why there wasn't a difference in FPS between low and max settings

As Spotlight pointed out you actually gain an increase in firerate the higher fps you have.

125 is the perfect FPS for zombies, you can do most of the jumps then :|

Change to 150. You can do the jumps with 150.

VSync creates a terrible input lag(about 0,1 sec) which makes it pretty unplayable

I've never had that issue. And I know others report the issue, but I myself have never had that. I played w/o v-sync for about 2 years, and now I play with v-sync, no difference at all for me.

Edit: When I play MW2 SP there is a big difference between max and low settings

Same thing with me. I have a ATI Radeon HD 4200.
