Hey, I just downloaded and installed mw2 and 4d1 and everything runs smoothly, except for all the text. All the letters show up as indecipherable, pixelated squares. I've already searched the support threads and I can't seem to find anything on this (correct me if I'm wrong).

Would be grateful if anyone could help on fixing this one.

Your graphx card is really old, I used a program to mod my old graphx card. Worked like a charm after that.

Like this? Because if so then its your really old out of date graphics card/drivers.

Have you ever played MW2 without this specific problem?

By the looks of that image, that's exactly my problem.

I'm not really sure, as I'm used to my laptop (and I'm using my desk computer now), but I think it's an ATI Radeon 9600 from what I can recall.

Can you point me to that program you used?

 

And yes, I've played this on my laptop with absolutely no problem at all.

Try downloading a program called mobility modder, this did the trick for me.

Scroll down until you see a box with: "Download DH mobility modder.net HERE".

Download it and follow the instructions.

Nope this is due to out of date graphx cards/drivers

I see the graphical glitches now, yeah that is a driver issue.

Its actually an issue with all versions of mw2 and I just remembered seeing it somewhere.

Most likely ATI drivers does that.
