It does. You underestimate the human eye.

More FPS, more advantages.

With 250 FPS you can jump higher and with 125 FPS further.

Even our Eyes can see a difference between 250 and 60 FPS, the game seems to be a lot smoother etc.

He is actually right, if you have anything above 56FPS you will get much better hit detection, but it also depends on your internet connection and the player you hit.

So called "pro" players babble on about FPS and latency and other crap as if it makes a difference. In Source games, you have the whole "server tick" thing too... they really feel like it makes a huge difference.
