When alterIW was still around, I remember there being an .exe that allowed one to play the single player game mode on alterMW3 (now IW5M). If that application is still around, could someone please direct me to where I could possibly download it?

There was an .exe to play SP?!

Yes, during the days when alterIW was still alive, someone posted an .exe that allowed you to play the single player mode on the MW3 Dedicated Server Tool (downloaded from Steam) that was used to run alterMW3 (presently known as IW5M).

IW5M doesn't work like the previous projects that you knew.

4D1 projects don't overwrite the original game files. Wich means that you can still play SP with your original Steam SP executable on a 4D1 installation.

If you're on a steam install, verify game cache.

If you're on a pirate install, ask google.
