Server not in browser, but others can connect

I have set up a dedicated server but I can't seem to see it in the server browser, neither can my friend. However, I can connect to it with my local IP with the connect command and my friend can connect to it with my external ip using the connect command. Anyone else know a fix or have the same problem? Thanks.

I have the same problem.

Forwarded Ports: 27015, 27016, 27017

Exceptions were made in Windows-Firewall and Kaspersky-Firewall.

I can connect via my *external* IP! But it's not showing up in the server browser.

Do I have do wait some time until the masterserver "refreshes" its list?

Did all of the above and my friend could connect so I'm pretty sure i port-forwarded correctly. It doesn't really matter right now because I'm just playing random 1v1 matches with him but it would be nice if others could join in. There aren't many servers in my area with a good ping...

u can't see because u have a bad internet

also u can't connect ur server with ur external ip u need to connect with internal ip

Works for me now!

My problem was that the server obvioulsy ignored my server.cfg in admin folder.

In server.cfg i set the servername to "RobbingHood Test Server" an the password to "test".

But in the server browser, there was no server called "RobbingHood Test Server".

After changing the gametype to juggernaut, i found only 1 server having juggernaut as gametype. It was called "Modern Warfare 3"(default name). That made me suspicious, so i set the servername and password manually and found my server!

Although it's still a little buggy, I love 4D1

well, this is my speedtest: 2152860240.png

and i connected with my internal ip, my friend connected with my external ip. It worked, just that its not on the browser

If people can connect using the connect command but the server doesn't show on the serverlist for them, there is only one possible cause that I know. You forwarded the game port, but not the query port.

Setting a DMZ host is a good solution for people hosting servers.

Also, try using another query port (27018 for example)

+set net_masterServerPort 27018

ok so it appears in the browser now, everyone can connect via it but I can't see it on my browser. I have to connect via using the connect command... Not really important but it'll be nice to be able to just connect via the browser...

also, is rcon working for anyone? i can't seem to login. it just gives me an error telling me the login command format when i am clearly using the correct format...

Rcon isn't working from the client. Use b3 or some external rcon tool.

About the server showing up on the list for everyone else except for you, that's a common problem with many routers. Many routers don't support a query on it's own IP.

Yap. Run dsut.exe and restart the server. You should be running on r21

About it stop working, maybe your internal IP changed and the port forward needs to be done again to the new internal IP

Pycorax":3c77qw69]it seems to be running from the correct folder... I followed your instructions but its still on R19...

That, my friend, is impossible.

If you ran FourDeltaOne's dsut.exe with IW5M option on the folder where the server is being launched from, it has to launch r21
