emm guys i need help when i try to install the game i get an error saying:

 

Something went wrong! (Launch Component.zip didn't extract properly)

 

Please help have been wanting to play this a long time...

Did you try redownloading the installer?!

The downloaded file could be corrupted. Re-Download and try again.

I did download it again...same problem! -.-

Some times the web browser mess up the file, such as Firefox, some times it tells you that the download is complete but it's not, so try using another web browser if you have & change the download location of the file.

plus: I'm not talking because of I'm a pro but because it happened to me a while ago.

Well, sometimes they do but very rarely.

Just wondering if there is a solution to this? I am gaining the same problem and I am really hoping to start playing again . As an extra note, I have tried downloading from other web browsers, and to different locations, yet I receive the same error message. Could this be linked to a firewall? Or does the client simply not like me?

Try disabling your anti-virus while downloading and installing IW4M.

Or you can just use the other installation method -> viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2040

Are you even extracting the file properly or are you starting the executable inside the zip file?

This might explain why you get this error, as the source of the file is not important.

Thank you guys, the first option of firewall tinkering worked I had a realisation that the firewall setting that it was on (when I thought it was on the right one), prevented this from installing properly Same thing happened whenever I had to update Minecraft, lol.
