As a programmer, I can tell you that fixing issues can be a lot of stress and can be very discouraging if that is all you are doing. Sometimes it is nice to take a break from that and do something a little more fun to reduce some stress. At least for me, anyway. Although, I don't know what issues you are referring to...

DIRECT X problem
Nah, this isn't the issue. I've had this same problem and I'm running latest graphics drivers and whatnot. And yet you had them off for your message body? :/

FD1 Maps
I'm playing with the old aIW client just fine. All I did was drop in the 4D1 files and was good to go. EDIT: Aah, I see. Turns out I was missing so_ghillies.ff and invasion.ff. Other than those two, I had everything. Still, no need to go downloading another, what, 12GB?

[Issue] Cannot use the console command /devmap mp_x
Have you tried just using /map? Also, I don't believe the custom maps have the mp_ prefix.

Need Help on loading Mods
If you can use the mod like the new way with the scripts folder, you can just drop the gsc file in the scripts folder (make it if it isn't there) in your "/raw" folder. I have a mod sitting in there and it doesn't prevent me from connecting to servers or anything like that.

[PoC] "Undefined" -- Mod Menu
Seeing as how I didn't get a reply to the above message I'll just assume all that is okay, since there is EAM of course too... One thing that I really need help with is figuring out the client's resolution. This menu was originally made for 4:3 screens, and I need a way to support both 4:3 and 16:9 resolutions. Any possible way I can do this? The only things I'm seeing are the dvars r_aspectRatio and r_mode, but since I have no way of accessing client dvars, I'm kinda screwed, aren't I?

FF Viewer 2.65 gets everything out of it AFAIK. Even if it doesn't, I believe it just uses zlib compression, right?

Just a little thing I whipped up for MW2 here. Doesn't have any function stuff added in to it just yet, just figured I'd tweak the base menu to be more "PC Friendly", as I originally made this for MW3 Wii. Splitting Up Mod Into Multiple GSCs?
I have a mod of mine I was thinking of porting over from something else (Wii MW3, although I checked into it and it uses MW2's FFs and MW2 functions with just the new changes for MW3 which won't affect my compatibility much), and I have it split up into multiple GSCs, such as a custom little utility GSC and whatnot, etc. I was wondering how I could split up a mod like that. Or, better yet, is it possible to just stick my scripts in a custom folder and then have them threaded from one little GSC in the scripts folder that 4D1 loads from?
