I have a different idea, hackers/cheaters gets banned forever! without any warning. And this must be advertised very loud so nobody would complain they didn't know. They want to play again, they need another account...but then again, cheat=dead account

I know, most COD players are for the Team Match, no other porpouse than just kill as many opponents as possible, which is indeed just fine, I do play mostly Team Deathmatch in MW2.... but some time ago I started playing BFBC2 too, and I found that the Rush mode is a lot of fun, even demolition was fun in MW2 but it's always difficult to find matches. I think, regadless I like Rush/Demolition modes, new maps are always welcome even if limited to just one or few game modes.... and Again Rush is a lot of fun, and promote cooperation which I believe is a little bit missing in COD

I understand that if it's too realistic maybe is not going to be fun anymore, but there are things which are way too unrealistic, like the quick scope..... then why not shooting someone across the map with a hand gun? in my opinion it's the same thing.

I play BF already and to be honest I like it more but I still like to play MW2 with dedicated servers when I want a more quick action, it's just that sniper thing I don't like P

I know this thought will be very much unpopular but I really think the sniper thing in MW2 is nonsense, there is nothing realistic of it.....a guy going around running and gunning with a sniper rifle quick scoping and single shot killing everyone passing around.... I know, you will say it's skill.... but in real life if you do that you get killed by someone with a pen.... I also know MW2 it's not real life but I thought they wanted to, at least, imitate it. I really prefer campers than that..... and by the way in my opinion if you play as a sniper you should camp because that's the sniper role. I'm not a really good player, I'm almost 40 and I have very little time to play so I should just stop complaining if I get killed by someone which is much better than me but get killed like that is very annoing.

guys, I would take this matter a little more seriously, I don't want to be negative but at least realistic.... I believe they really don't want anybody do do anything like this no matter if it's on the borders of legality...they will find a way to turn it their side. I think this will be a long term argument with Activision....

I really do because I played yesterday evening for an hour on Steam and the matchmaking makes me crazy..... it takes a lot to find a game, the ping is too high always, I'm luck if I actually shot something I have a new keypad, I need to get use to it, and that could be one of the reasons I suck so much now.... but on AlterIW I was a decent player, most of the times with a ratio well over 1:1..... Anyway sorry for being a whiner, I'm just so mad about it

everything depends on what was written on that mysterious email if the all point is to go legit with this project, then all depends on the permission to do the project itself. At least if I understood right and we want/need a permission, and regardless the fact this project could be a good way for Activision to sell even more copies of MW2, they could not be interested in this thing and consider the whole project bad for their business.

in my opinion any new maps will be welcome..... campers? go hunting them..... kniferunners? wait for them where they don't expect you....... snipers? take them from behind.... I mean in a real fight you don't blame the field if you loose I will even use "suspension" or "time trial" from the Special Ops..... any map could have his way to play it... immagine "suspension" in Sabotage mode, a bomb to be planted in the middle a party for snipers but a hell of a team play, like a real life battle.

then play Team Fortress 2 which is Free2Play and F__ing insanely fun

why should you be payed you for your job when your boss can just chain you at the chair and force you to make it for free again alterIWnet idea was to be able to have dedicated servers and mods.....which are not on the ufficial MW2. Anyway I will be pleased if the non paying players don't join the game because often they are the same who use cheating, which is stupid like alchol-free beer

it's because of pirated versions that AlterIWnet had to be closed...... WTF.......buy the game if you want it. AlterIWnet was meant to add what MW2 was missing, dedicated servers and mods, not to provide people an easy way to find a game for free.
