This is a Multiplayer Bot Mod for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.( enemies to play against, NOT A HACK to help you cheat! )

Enjoy! Hope you like it.

Instructions(this is for latest IW4M version only!)

-------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Extract the rar file.(if you read this you probably already did this).(Don't rename any of the files or folders unless you know what your doing)

2. Copy and paste the folder "RSE" into your Call of Duty MW2 IW4M\main folder. (if the mod won't load because another iwd. file is being loaded then add z_ before the mod name so it will load,if all else fails it may also work in the mods folder,if the mods folder doesn't exist create one,if you use the mods folder do not add z_ before the mod name)

3. Run Call of Duty MW2 IW4M.

4. Go into the private match menu and setup a game to your liking.

5. Start the Match ( if there isn't text in the top right corner after you spawned then you didn't load the mod correctly ).

7. HOW TO ADD BOTS : (Dedicated Servers,You can add bots only by being the host.)

Open RSE.iwd with WinRAR and browse the folders for the file _rank.gsc open it in notepad and scroll down till you see these entries (*replace # with the number or name you want to set it to.)

*svr_bots # (sets the amount of bots to join)

*svr_bots_fill # (set this to how many players you want to have in the game, eg. if you set it to 10 and 5 players are in the game , then 5 bots will be added. If a player then leaves another bot will be added)

*svr_bots_skill # (sets the bots difficulty. 1 = easy; 2 = medium (default); 3 = hard;

* svr_bots_team # (sets the team that the next bots will join. can be autoassign, axis, allies )

* svr_bots_streak # (sets if bots use killstreaks. 0 = no, 1 = yes)

* svr_bots_nuke # (if killstreaks are on you can set if they can get/use nuke. 0 = no nuke, 1 = they can get nuke(17 kills))

* svr_bots_wep_menu # (This gives the players a weapons menu they can use once every time they respawn, 0 = off(default), 1 = on)

change these entries to your liking and have fun.

8. Enjoy!

 

 

(Manually Adding Bots)

1.Minimize to console and type svr_bots # ( replace # with a number of bots )

2.Minimize to console and type svr_bots_fill # (replace the # with the number of players you want in the game, if it is set to 10 and there are 4 players then 6 bots will be added )

* When you spawn you can add 1 bot by pressing actionslot 1 (Default N).

* or you can press actionslot 2 (Default 5) for the bots menu and follow instructions there to add bots.

 

(Manually Adding Mods)

Minimize to console and type this in "fs_game mods/'yourmodfoldersname'; vid_restart" ( without the "")(or type map_restart instead of vid_restart if your using the console in-game )

 

 

You can also change the bots setting by the bots menu that only the host has. Press actionslot 2 (Default 5) in game for the menu.

 

(To open the weapons menu once the host set it to 1 you need to go to "Options" then "Controls" then "Look", Then at the bottom you will see a "Center View" this is the button you will use to open the weapons menu (mine is set to B), The default for this button is unbound so you will have to set it to something)

Computer A.I bots to play against in Call of duty Modern Warfare 2 IW4M.

* Bots Follow WAYPOINTS!!, which means that they walk all over the map.

* Bots play different game types.

*You can set how many bots to join.

*They Aim and shoot ( or nade ) at other players including other bots.

*They have infinite ammo.

*They can go into crouch sometimes.

*They can be flashed and stunned.

*They have perks and death streaks.(steady aim, stopping power, slight of hand).

*They use KILLSTREAKS!

*They use a random weapon every time they respawn.

*They have a chance to throw a stun, flash, semtex, frag or plant a claymore.

*They will throw a knife at a player that is close enough to stab(this is my version of a stab, as there is no knife i can give them as a weapon that i know of).

*They all get a random level with a random prestige.

*Bots get a Random Title with a Random Emblem.

*Bots use quick messages like in cod 4. ( the commands you could of given like : follow me, or Enemy spotted)

*They now "Chat", to make it look more human.

* anti-stuck feature for the bots.

* Bots have a More realistic aimbot.

*You can now set a Bots Autofill Dvar ( svr_bots_fill # ) lets say you set it to 4, then the game will add bots every time that there is less then 4 players in the game.

*Bots now play more gametypes. CTF, SAB, S&D is added.

*New way to load waypoints.

*New Bot Menu for the host. you can now add 5 or 10 bots with it, and set the difficulty of the bots, the team that the bots will join, kilstreaks on or off and nuke on or off, from the menu. no more minimizing to console. ( if you aren't in the menu you can still add 1 bot using actionsol 2 )

*Bots won't shoot you when you are in the bot or weapons menu.

*Bots now use all weapons and random attachement to the guns, even on guns that isn't possible for humans, like a pistol with a scope

*And some more minor changes to inprove the bots general performance.

 

Maps that are Waypointed ( that the bots can play in ) :

*All maps are Waypointed.

*All maps are Playable!

DO NOT PUT THE WORD "bot" AT THE BEGINNING OF YOUR NAME! the game will think that you are a bot.

* Bots slide instead of walking/running,their feet move when they aim down the sights and you have testclients_domove enabled.(change testclients_domove from 0 to 1 located in RSE.iwd/maps/mp/gametypes/_rank)

* Bots do sometimes go up in the air, but they get back on the ground after a while.

* Bots WILL sometimes end up or go through places that they aren't suppose to!

* Majar lag may occur in certain maps (randomly) , this is if there is a problem in the waypoint links.

* After using a ac130 they sometimes go funny and shoot with a weapon that they don't have and go through everything ( this is fixed after they die one time ).

* They do sometimes do nothing after they spawned, but the anti-stuck feature kills them and then they reset.

* They do sometimes end up with a gun in their hands but then for some reason if they shoot it, it is a difrent guns sound and shooting style.

Alright, got the mod to work (finally...). The only problems in fact are the crashes occuring from 10 to 10 minutes or even faster in modes such as Search and Destroy, Demolition, etc; and for some odd reason, i can't use higher killstreaks such as the Chopper Gunner and the AC-130 (selecting 5, 7 and 11 killstreaks, right after the harriers gets the required kills, nothing happens, it's like it was not selected at all).

 

Hopefully the developer of this mod shall take a read at the posts and make required fixes, because the crashes are damm sure annoying...

 

Can you explain how you got the mod to work because I have the problem you had before where the 'fs_game mods/RSE; vid_restart' was the only working command. The 'svr' commands are unknown to the console for me.

 

Nevermind, finally got it working. The instructions didn't specifically say you had to make an actual folder named RSE, it only said extract the folder, even though the file is in .iwd >_>

Where (and which .gsc) can I disable this without deleting the talk.gsc? (Because deleting causes it to not load)

I got it to work for me by deleting the talk.gsc and editing the bots.gsc. I searched for "talk" in bots.gsc and commented out the self thread lines that had "self thread svr\talk:: etc." There were six instances i believe. FYI to comment them out you put // in front of the line you want to skip. The first one was " self thread svr\Talk::BotTalkEndGame(); " and I changed it to " // self thread svr\Talk::BotTalkEndGame(); " minus the quotation marks. Hope that works for you.

And to all people who want to make the bots stop shooting, use "/testclients_doattack 0".

The bots will hurdle up and try to knife each other without success so they will be easy target.

I'm using this mod on my server. This is great tool to invite people to the game and bots provide an opportunity to improve the well-being after ass kicking from real players :-D. But there is one thing, when server is working something about 30-40 minutes long and we got several real players in game, server begins to lag. Initially there are some glitches when we runnig, but after some time the problem is increasing. Often we got slow motion game, people writing on chat something about "Matrix Mode", and playing it's impossible. Now the things i have trying to make thing better on server:

- turning off antyvirus;

- setting priority of iw4m.exe to real time in task manager;

- turning off "set sv_master2 "master.alterrev.net" and "set sv_master3 "server.iw4play.de" lines in server.cfg (this was stupid idea but i thought it's worth to try);

- enable and disable -console parameter in server shortcut;

Nothing of this actions works.

 

When we playing without mod game is going smoth without one glitch.

 

When game is going with bots i've noticed in console many of this info's:

This is few lines and there are different items in quotes

Below i paste second type of info's which is displaying in console when bots are on:

And this is something different because sometimes there are a few line, sometimes few pages. It look's like bots are trying to do something that they can't (standing in place where it's impossible, use item which they didn't have). I didn't notice that the maps was of importance.

Maybe someone will got idea what is goin on and may help me. I really liked RSE and i would like to use it without those lags.

So basically i have put the mod in m2demo of the server folder, and "set svr_bots_fill 18" in my server config, everything is fine except there are only 10 bots, 5 in each team, and there are always only 10, if i join there are then 9 bots + me, so how can i make it be 18 total?

Is there any way that you can make them walk and not slide? If the survival mod had movement animations why can't this have them?

It could but the creator no longer works for this mod I guess.

 

I might look into revamping this mod. I got oilrig, burgertown, & IW4 Credits map done.

I just created a folder named "mods" in the main Directory - main directory not the directory named main - in this mods folder I created a folder names "RSE", that I started a game, picket Mods from the main menu, selected RSE and hit lunch, It works great.

wow im playing on a bot warfare server running this mod and its very fun. sometimes the bots are smarter then humans are, and sometimes there really stupid.

its much funner for those who have laggy connection like me cuz i can finally get alot of kills lol

There's a roll the dice mod with rse in it..two versions actually you can get on those rse + mods compilation when aiw was about to shutdown.

I found it posted again here just look for it on other pages.
