bo had horrible pc optimization, yes, but the move to DX11 hints that they may be trying harder this time around.

At benchmarks DX11 have 5-20 frames fewer than DX9.

note that exactly the same code ported to D3D11 will actually perform better on many systems

 

also what kind of benchmarks? just saying 'benchmarks' doesn't say anything about what application is tested

At benchmarks DX11 have 5-20 frames fewer than DX9.

Maybe mainly because of tesselation? Try running opengl4 with tesselation, then you will see a difference in fps. Also- 20fps fewer- well thats a lot! Especially if you get more than 100fps in most games!

 

And nobody forces you to use d3d11
