Hey guys,

It is evident that the 4D1 version of IW4M is much better and allows much more options than those before.

So, I was wondering if it was possible to specify a master server so that the LAN multiplayer is possible whenever offline via the IWNetServer.

 

Hoping for some answers.

Nope since authentication is done via master server..

in IW4M or FourDeltaOne there is no IWnet... IWnet is for alterRev and IW4play.

But that would be great, so we can play MW2 in our school w/o accounts and internet!

And I know that MW2 isn't for kids, but we all are older than 16 and we have a lot of free time in school

See it is simple if you wanna play this offline then it is impossible learn C or C++ and Java and edit the client so it will work offline or if you really wanna play offline and you dont know how then play in the old aIW client PM me and I will be glad to provide you all the links and steps necessary!

2) go back to 4d1 and start new topic.

3) paste the text provided by pastebin.

4) make a preview of your new post but never and don't ever post it...

5) read the preview...

6) follow them correctly.

7) profit

There are obvious files missing in that tutorial (iw4mp.exe launched iw4mp.dat, wich isn't there, and that also needs other dlls wich aren't there also. iwnetserver.exe needs a playlist file, and so on)

If you can code, get the IW4M SVN and remove all references to the NPServer. Keep in mind you'll need to have a valid steamid too.
