Any estimated time for the new m2?

Will the steam required version be released when aIW closes, or when?

There's probably no set date, just wondering an estimated time :s

inb4 "when it's done!"

When its done, I guess.

NTA would probably have to completely write a new source code that is compatible with a ''Legit'' version on Mw2 on Steam. And at the same time, no breaking any laws.

I can't wait..

100% support for NTAuthority =

No, not really.

The "legit" part means a check on a steam account for the game. There probably won't be any massive rewrites, apart from cheat protection and other things to use this steam ID as the new XUID (presumably).

This can probably bypassed with the great Luma, inb4 PM's

NTAuthority was thinking (i.e. other posts have said) about using Steam's OpenID (like the one he used for his ASHPD), which Luma has no interaction with.

Wasn't NTA supposed to ahnd over all copies of the source code? which would then result in him having to rewrite it now?

Indeed.

That's something that definitley only works in theory. How would they prove that he hasn't handed over all copies in the first place.

Quoting NTA loosely from the other night on IRC.

"I just have a few buglets to work out before its done"

So hopefully pretty soon.

...It's still pretty easy to bypass these things... ohwell, atleast you're trying.

We are living in a digital age, nothing is ever lost. ;)

Easy to bypass? Then tell me how to download stuff from garrysmod.org without an account with purchased gmod ?

That's completely irrelevant.

Well, i guess we just have to wait and find out.

However seeing what NTAuthority has done in the past, it will be a wait worth waiting :D

That's completely different, but that's OK, you're not a developer.

(like the one he used for his ASHPD)

Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device???

Aperture Science Handheld Potato Device.

lol. Seems legit

In the time it takes NTAuthority to eat three whole chocolate Aperture Science Enrichment Centre made cakes.

Which means no ETA.

Locked.
