Our project was quite ambitious, but the lack of interest from the developer lead to a dead end for us. If some day NTA decides to fix mw2 and ensures that promod will be much more stable and bug-free, we might consider a comeback, but untill then everything will be shut down. The "Free mw2 servers" will be closed effective immediately with the public teamspeak and website to follow sometime this week. If you still want to play promod, then you will have to either create your own server, or buy one (viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2151) . I really didn't want to start an argument on this topic, but apparently i was dragged into this, so i feel i owe some explanations.

 

First of all i am no coder, i can't fix or modify anything about 4D1 or promod. All that i tried to do was to bring the competitive cod scene to mw2 as i feel it was a fresh game to play competitively, as cod4 feels old and more and more pro players are leaving the game. I tried to contact NTA on a few occasions, specifying that i wold like to have a sitdown with him and banz, and talk about the future of mw2, as 4D1 is his project. As i said, i am no coder so i can't really explain the details as to what is wrong with the game + promod. If you want a simplistic answer then, there is the ammo bug, random crashes while playing and also when changing maps, random freezes, mod sometimes unloads while changing maps, and some others. This example of just listing the problems doesn't fix them in any way, that why i said it would had been a good idea to talk about it. I tried hard to contact everybody and discuss, but i'm tired of it. I gave players a public teamspeak, free servers, made different programs to aid them, made a bunch of livestreams and videos to support the game and 4D1, explaining that this version of mw2 is the future for COD and that arev don't give a shit about them. In the end i am tired, i worked too hard and all for nothing. In any case, that is the sad story of mw2promod (like anyone gives a shit). So would someone just close this topic, and forget all about mw2 and promod. Thank you in advance.
