Hey guys im new here just installed everything using totorials untill i wanted to change the resolution and such. Now im getting a error on no matter what i do. Here is the pic of it hope you guys can help out.

well i use the clean copy of steam mp version i keep a clean copy of it on backup so i don't have to re download everything ill try redoing the whole thing again thanks. Also where do i get the DLC maps i have been searching everywhere.

i just dont understand this time i was able to get a little bit further. I got into server screen and when i selected a server to join booted me with the same error. Where do i go to download i guess or what can i do?

sorry about that just getting frustrated nothing is going right. I followed all the insgtructions correctly did everything and still getting the error.

Did you do a Steam check ? Also did you copy your game folder somewhere else after doing it ?

i tried doing the check but it says my game is not installed i havent moved it anywhere else

im just thinking if i should just start all over again and just reformat my laptop and redownload everything from the beginning

I downloaded the steam mp version. Like i said i keep a clean copy of that in the steam folder. I have a tekno game im playing but too many cheaters on there and no support. So i made a copy of the folder from steam and coppied it into my games folder and did everything that it told me to do from here this website. Followed all the instructions and im getting that message. So should i delete both of them and get the clean copy and just make 4D1 game?

Start steam, go to Tools, download mw3 dedicated server

 

a perfect, clean install that is updated will be downloaded to steaw/steamapps/common/mw3

 

Then just apply 4d1 files there

I approve. Instead of losing time searching for the main problem, just do a clean install this way.

If you can get it from a friend, fine. If not, just do a steam check.

Thanks im just downloading a new one right now should be done in a hour or so and start over but i just wanted to know if tekno has anything to do with that or just a bad file

It's just a bad .iwd file (or more of those, but we'll find that out after you fix that one)

Alright got the game working played one map Terminal next map came up called black box i think and i got a error of some sort saying something about morningwood? Also how do i change my pov

You're probably missing the DLC maps (and no, we don't provide links to it)

i did all the dlc maps that were provided in the tutorials but still getting errors. Also its a fresh game install because i was having issues before

its just really confusing i follow the tutorials each step at a time and still having problems i was able to play terminal before but not anymore

You had Terminal map files. But some of your core game files were damaged, so you reinstalled the game. Now your game works, but you don't have the required DLCs
