common_mp.ff isn't part of IW5M updater.

The only solution for that it to verify the game cache on Steam (or reinstall the whole game)

If you are having so many issues relating to game files, I would recommend you re-download the game, using the dedicated server files from Steam.

And end up with an iw3, t4, iw4, t5, or iw5 version of that same file name?

Only issues is that you may have more files missing, and then you may eventually have to re-download the game. Try this out and see what happens, but if there are any more game file related errors, I would recommend a complete re-install.

I would recommend to re install the full game from Steam.

You're either having an old version or are missing alot of files. Redownload the game from Steam.

I was only missing those 2 files. Since then I've downloaded the DLC collections and the game works perfectly
