You seriously need to realize the meaning of that, because he was not harassing you, because most of the chat was by you, and you were harassing him. Did he put up a million videos relating to that? He isn't hacking, I've even seen him give hacks to NTA to block. And Photoshopping a video? Is that even possible? I seriously someone would go to the level of depth to simply cut out the text and to re-create the background, or remove the HUD when your text popped up and hide it. I admin some servers, and I have never acted this retarded towards a player, and actually have some skills to spot hackers.

I don't get why, if DUKIP annoyed you that much, or offended your wife, or you thought he cheated (I did not watch the vid and have no intention to do so, even writing this is too great a sacrifice why you didn't just ban him from your server and end the story there. Why argue and throw a tantrum?

 

As to the use of abusive words - I find it utterly stupid that somebody thinks I (or any mature and sane person) will be offended by an anonymous guy (or girl) sitting behind a PC miles and miles away, and I am aware that some of these abusive words are so overused these days that they are no longer offensive, but I tend to kick all guys uisng them, because if I don't do so, the game turns into a moaning clusterfuck in no time.

It's actually not their fault it's the fault of humanity. And also the failure of IW5M that server owners can do WHATEVER they want emphasizes the fact that they will do such things (and they won't stop).

Ofcourse there are two types of people the ones who are the "good" guys and the "bad" guys but mostly there are only "bad" guys because:

1) The game itself is very unfair and you get angry of anything in this game especially if someone kills you. Only if he just stood there for 1 second you will be accused to be a camper and you ARE GOING TO GET kicked/banned.

2) Just because they can.

 

Also I recognized that even the Staff reacts just like butthurt admins. Not always but sometimes.

This is a similiar situation. Staff member is butthurt tries to hide it with irony posts it on the forum just to harass the admins. *cough* I don't want to defend the admins they are still kiddos *cough*.

Everyone helps the staff... why? to get some attention of the "HIGHER BEINGS" and to get liked. This also happens on servers with server admins.

 

Anyway I hope you understand my point that something went wrong.

Also you've choosen the work in the community to be the "good" guys and help people or resolve conflicts between people. And if that fails you shouldn't be in that part of the community.

First of all, I don't particularly care about the "staff". They have their own work, lives, duties related to this community, etc, not my problem.

 

However, when it comes to my server, I am paying for it, and I am setting the bloody rules. End of story. If I say that sticking in one spot for even one second is camping, you either obey or kindly leave - plenty of servers out there (or open your own server and not be ME). If I can play for months on iSnipe and never once melee anybody, why "you" could not? In particular if I run a message "Melee = temp ban pretty much all of the time? Also, I am the one deciding if you have a good ping for my server or not. It's a take it or leave it situation. I'd rather weed out all of the annoying brats accusing me that I cheat and asking how to throw the care package in a few seconds, or moaning why there is no MP7 on my server all of the time and have just good and well-mannered players.

 

BTW, people MOAB on our servers all time, and no-one gets kicked (provided they do it fair and square, and I will spectate somebody several games if necessary to ascertain that). But if you are moaning pester, you will definitely get a two weeks' free vacation in GTFO. I will also kick you if you spam "Ghangam Style" and similar annoying bullshit. To make it short - I will kick you.

 

From the other angle, one of our guys is a beast at the game, and as a result we are collectively banned from a myriad of servers. I can't do anything about it but laugh at it. Or, today I killed some dude three times in the span of 30 seconds on three different ends of the map, and he banned me for being a camper xD If he comes to my server, I will not retaliate - I'd rather have cannon fodder running about xD Plenty of examples, it gets boring.

I definitly respect and understand your point of being the server owner and to create rules and stuff. But in particular I was talking about hacking/cheating and stuff that server owners do make foolish accusations and also with this new "META"ban good players who are playing like beasts getting banned from every server just because of some butthurt admins. You see my point as you mentioned it yourself above.

Theres an option: Not allowing perma bans. And only allowing perma bans if the suspicious player is temp-banned on other servers too.

Anyway as I see this won't get to any solution, since you(all server owners) won't try to make their servers fair for all players AND NOT JUST FOR THEMSELVES.

Also I mean if you bought the server and you kick/ban every little guy who got a moab then just play alone with yourself if you can't handle with better players.

It's just a difference between adult admins and NOT-adult admins.

And to get back to the first point: You said that admins can get butthurt from time to time and If they don't they are machines. You know I implied with my post that admins should get over this because if they want to act butthurt and foolish and premature then they shouldn't be in that position of being a model because many people will say: "Oh this staffadmin acted very butthurt SO ITS OKAY IF I DO IT THE SAME :)"
