Hi, I'm having this problem installing IW5M. The moment I launch LaunchIW5M.exe, this occurs.

I checked the FAQ, my Net frameworks and visual studio to be sure. Still having this problem. Please help.

Um, have you used IW5M before ? And try restarting your PC then try again.

As that is obvious if you take a look at the ''error'' ?

For everyone getting this error:

 

 

Please do the following:

 

1) Create a new folder called 'back' or so in IW5 folder/zone/english

2) Drag every file which is in the /english folder to the 'back' folder you just created

3) Open the IW5 updater.

4) If everything goes right, it should add the new maps now.

5) IW5 is trying to open but crashes after a few seconds. Don't worry!

6) Drag every file of 'back' back to the original folder (IW5 folder/zone/english). If it asks to overwrite, just select no to all.

 

^ This done it for me.

Solution given works.

 

Encountered some errors trying to update but persistent running the program solved it.

 

Faced another problem with iw23 later but I moved it to another file and it was solved.

 

Game works now properly. Thanks

That's not a fix. That's a workaround.

The fix would be to fix folder permissions on the game folders.
