I run the LaunchIW5M and it shows the normal game startup screen, then I'm at the MP menu and can't go to Servers, I get "Connecting to Online Services" even though it says IW5M r24 because we can at the bottom right.

 

Ive restarted both my comp and router, what now?

I need some seconds and then I can click at the serverbrowser. Wait a few seconds and try to click at it.

a. Server may be down or you can't connect to the NP server/not allowed to connect. Make sure to be running the LATEST IW5 files from Steam.

b. Port 3074 is being blocked. Open exception rules (both TCP and UDP) for port 3074 on whatever firewall that might be blocking it (either windows, anti-virus or router firewall).

Why would I not be allowed to connect?

It could be your firewall/antivirus causing this problem

You could also try this (not tested)

Run IW5M> Get the error and wait till another errror comes

Then Alt-Tab(dont exit game), Start Task Manager and set iw5m.dat priority to "Low" and then go to IW5M
