for some reason my internet connection is going mad recently, in servers where i would usually have 30-50 ping i am shooting up to 300+ at times, i think the problem is on my end but i just did a connection test and it said i have 20mb download, 1mb upload and 45 ping. i do not have problems surfing the internet but on 4d1 and cod 4 i cannot play because of un-bearable lag, any help is much appreciated.

hopefully, it has come out of nowhere and is really annoying, I think either some one is stealing internet from my household, even though i have had a password on it for some time now, or my ethernet cable is faulty.

For example, i might see a server in the browser, it says 20 ping. i start connecting too it, then it says 'server for low ping players only' so somehow my ping went from 20 too something really bad. i dont get it, and its not other people in my house using the internet, because i have made sure i try to play when no one is using internet.
